What we did

• •We explored several implementation approaches before selecting ArcGIS as the most effective fit for the project. Its cloud-based mapping capabilities provided a trusted foundation for displaying the client’s data, while JavaScript supported the custom behavior needed for a dynamic experience.
• •We configured the map to display emergency vehicle locations and refresh them as new information became available. Because current positions required repeated API calls, we optimized how those requests were made to limit unnecessary network use without losing the value of timely updates.
• •We maintained close communication with the client as difficult requirements surfaced. That review separated essential needs from optional requests, allowing the team to reduce avoidable complexity and move forward with a focused implementation rather than spending time on features that were not required.
• •We incorporated client feedback into map customizations and chose an approach that can be adjusted as needs evolve. The completed solution presents supplied location data through a clear dynamic map, giving users one visual place to understand where emergency vehicles are operating.
