What we did

• •We translated the product concept into clear mobile flows in Adobe XD, then built the iOS app with React Native and TypeScript. The experience supports both sides of the marketplace, allowing drivers to look for parking and owners to publish spaces, set rates, and make those listings available for booking.
• •We built the application backend with Firebase and used Algolia within the project’s data workflow. Google Maps was integrated to support location-based parking discovery. These services were brought together behind a cohesive interface rather than leaving users to navigate separate or mismatched systems.
• •Owners can review their parking spaces, see associated bookings, and cancel a reservation when needed. We also built availability-based booking so drivers can select a time that works for a listed space. Together, these controls turn a collection of parking listings into a marketplace that owners can manage themselves.
• •Stripe was integrated for the transaction side of the marketplace. A key challenge was helping an owner create a Stripe account and connect it to a Pali profile without breaking the mobile experience. We implemented an in-app browser flow that guides account setup and links the accounts when onboarding is complete.
• •The required Google Maps integration did not work with the project’s original Expo Go setup, so we adjusted the iOS development and testing workflow around Xcode and Apple hardware. We also began the App Store process early to account for platform requirements. The finished app was accepted into the App Store and used for real parking bookings.
