Top Dog was conceived as a customizable party-game experience for both new and experienced players. The project called for original minigames, board-based play, distinctive characters, environmental mechanics, and settings that could give players more control over each session.
The team also explored user-created content and both local and online multiplayer. Building and testing gameplay before a complete visual library was available created an additional challenge, while the breadth of game-development disciplines required tighter scoping and specialized contributors.
