Crimer Website

What we did

• •We rebuilt the public website with React and MUI, implementing the new visual direction as a modern branded experience. The refreshed interface replaced the outdated presentation and more closely reflected Crimer’s product vision, while leaving the company with a corporate site it could continue to own and develop.
• •We structured the content around dedicated solution pages that describe situations where Crimer is intended to be useful. The pages connect the product’s crime forecasting concept to potential resource-planning applications, giving prospective customers a clearer explanation of what the software is designed to do.
• •We created a careers page with a contact and application form for prospective candidates. This added a direct recruiting path within the same branded site and allowed people interested in working with Crimer to reach the company through the website.
• •We moved the Django backend to AWS and used Amazon RDS, AWS App Runner, and AWS Amplify in the cloud setup. AWS CDK defined the infrastructure, while development and production branches triggered automatic deployments to create a repeatable release workflow.
• •When App Runner’s slow turnaround made deployment problems difficult to diagnose, we adopted a Dockerfile-based process that could be built and checked locally. This let the team verify the container sooner and catch issues before making another cloud deployment.
