What we did

• •We created a dedicated mobile news experience for both iOS and Android, giving the publisher a presence on the two major mobile platforms. The app brings reporting into a format suited to checking updates throughout the day and gives readers a focused alternative to relying on the desktop website.
• •We structured the experience around breaking coverage and reader notifications. Current stories are easy to reach from the app, while notifications give the newsroom a direct way to alert its audience when new reporting is available. This supports both regular reading and time-sensitive updates.
• •We added an interactive parish map so readers can explore stories through the places they know. Instead of depending only on a general news feed, users can move into location-based reporting and find coverage connected with individual communities across the region.
• •We brought podcast access into the app alongside written reporting. Readers can move between articles and Unfiltered With Kiran audio content without treating them as separate products. Combining these formats in one destination supports different reading and listening habits while keeping the newsroom’s work easy to reach.
• •We used WordPress and Google Analytics alongside the iOS and Android platforms. These technologies supported publishing, audience measurement, and mobile delivery while the reader-facing experience remained centered on timely reporting, place-based browsing, notifications, and podcast access.
